Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec is a special version of this franchise released for Sony Play Station 2. The game was released in 2001 and it included 200+ really detailed cars and a lot of great tracks. In the game, you would race as you may know on different tracks, driving different cars. This is a rally game for those who don’t know that this game has changed the gaming into something special and something epic. In addition, there were different racing modes. For example, you were able to race GT championship, touring cars, etc.
2. Burnout 3: Takedown
Burnout 3: Takedown isn’t a typical racing game. Yes, it was released for Sony PlayStation 2 but it was focused on destroying other vehicles and making as much fuss as possible. This was known as crash mode and it impressed millions of players back in a day. Sadly, this is the last game with this feature in the series. 3. Road Rash
Road Rash is a really old game released back in 1992. Here you would ride a motorcycle on a track and yes you will race versus other players. But an interesting option is that you have the ability to punch them in the face. This feature was never seen again in any game and definitely deserves to be mentioned. Other than that, you get ordinary graphics and the ability to push your machine at 100 miles per hour.
4. Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament
Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament is a special version of the Micro Machines racing game. You were able to play it on various devices available in 1994 when the game was released. The best part is the fact you would race in a kitchen or better said in the house, hence the name of the game. Your car is so small that it can have a full race on a kitchen table. The track is surrounded with nails and other, commonly found items. The best part of this game was the linear driving capability. All vehicles will run smoothly across the obstacles and they are fast. You can even perform 360 degree turns with your small cars.
5. Stunt Car Racer
Stunt Car Racer has to be on our list, simply due to the importance it had on the gaming community. Back in 1989 when the game was released, all racing games were simple, on a plain track with basic ordinary cars. Stunt Car Racer changed all of that. You would drive a powerful dragster from the cockpit view and you were able to use turbo, to jump and to race on different tracks. For the best gameplay, a player was able to connect to another computer and to play versus another player. This type of games is very common today and all of that thanks to this one.
6. AyrtonSenna’s Super Monaco Grand Prix II
AyrtonSenna’s Super Monaco Grand Prix II is better known as ASSGP II and it is a game focused on Formula 1 with AyrtonSenna in the main role. You were hosted by this driver and he would tell you the tips and tricks for that particular track you are racing one. Honestly, this is realistic. The graphics and the gameplay were realistic as well which make this game extremely popular. You had the ability to keep your eyes on the speed, the REV counter and also on the tracks and to monitor your time.
