The Best RV Routes You Can Visit Around the World

Having an RV enables people to travel to different locations without the need to stay in hotel rooms and dine in restaurants, as they can already sleep in the bedroom and prepare food in the kitchen inside the RV. While the RV can be driven to various roads and places, there are some routes that are considered to be better than others in terms of the number of beautiful attractions you can visit within those routes. Here is a list of the best RV road trips that you can visit in different parts of the world.

Route 66 (USA)

Route 66

If you are living in the US, the best and nearest RV route that you can visit is Route 66, which is the route that connects Los Angeles and Chicago. This is considered one of the longest routes in the US, so it may take days or weeks for you to reach the end of the route with an RV.

Some of the attractions that you can visit within the route include the Santa Monica Pier, the Cadillac Ranch, and the Route 66 Car Museum. At the Santa Monica Pier, you can enjoy the stunning views while also buying souvenirs at the Santa Monica Pier Shop & Visitor Center. The Cadillac Ranch is a public art installation that was created in 1974 to showcase ten Cadillacs that were manufactured between 1949 to 1963. These Cadillacs are buried nose-first in the ground. Then, the Route 66 Car Museum features important automobiles in history that have most likely been used to drive through the route.

Lake Superior Circle (Canada)

While not technically a route, the Lake Superior Circle features a 1,300-mile pathway that features wonderful sights and attractions located within Canada’s Lake Superior. In this location, you will be able to visit the Lake Superior Provincial Park, Sauble Beach, Wasaga Beach, and Manitoulin Island, which are all tourist spots that offer amazing views of Lake Superior and its surrounding lands. Keep in mind that it would take about 12 to 14 days for you to complete this route by visiting its most popular attractions.

Sea-to-Sky Highway (Canada)

Whistler Blackcomb

Another RV route that you can check out in Canada is the Sea-to-Sky Highway, which is a route that goes from Vancouver to Pemberton. This RV route is just 125 kilometers in length, making it one of the shortest routes on this list. Because of how short this route is, you can complete the trip in just three to four days, depending on how long you want to spend your time in each attraction within the route.

The tourist spots that you can visit on this route include Whistler Blackcomb, Stanley Park, and the Britannia Mine Museum. Whistler Blackcomb is arguably one of the most popular ski resorts in Canada, but if you are going to visit this place during the summer, it offers a hiking area that will surely provide beautiful views. On the other hand, Stanley Park is a public park that features the historic lighthouse on Brockton Point, the Vancouver Museum, and the Vancouver Seawall. The Britannia Mine Museum is an award-winning museum that showcases information and artifacts that are related to the mining industry of British Columbia, the westernmost province of Canada.

Road to Hana (Hawaii)

Hana, Hawaii

If you are ready to take your RV to Hawaii, the best route that you can take is the Road to Hana, which is a 100-kilometer short route that starts in Paia and ends in Hana in Maui, Hawaii. Much like the Sea-to-Sky Highway, the Road to Hana is a relatively short route, so you don’t have to spend weeks just to complete the journey. However, you may want to spend at least one day at each of the tourist spots on this road so that you can have more fun admiring the view and doing various activities.

The best tourist spots you can check out within Road to Hana include the Hana Lava Tubes and the Garden of Eden. The Hana Lava Tubes is a family-friend adventure that takes you inside a cave that was formed around 960 million years ago by molten lava that spewed up from underground. The Garden of Eden is a beautiful garden that features Hawaii’s native flowers and trees.

Highway 1 (Australia)

Bondi Beach

The longest RV route in this list is Highway 1, which is a network of highways located on the edges of the largest island nation, Australia. Highway 1 technically circumnavigates the country, and if you want to challenge yourself and your travel buddies for a long road trip, you should definitely try to complete Highway and circumnavigate Australia.

Because Highway 1 goes around Australia, you will be able to visit different attractions in the cities at the edge of the country, which include Melbourne, Sidney, Brisbane, and Adelaide. However, two of the must-visit spots are the Blue Mountains and Bondi Beach. The Blue Mountains is a mountain range located in New South Wales that features different landmarks like the Three Sisters, the Giant Stairway, and the Jenolan Caves. Bondi Beach is considered not only one of the most popular beaches in Australia but also in the entire world because of its sheer beauty. This particular beach is located in Sydney and is home to Bondi Skate Park and Bondi Pavilion.

The best RV routes can either be very short or challengingly long, so choosing a specific route would depend on how well you can drive your RV and how ready you are for long road trips. For beginners, it would be best to try the shorter RV routes first before taking on the longer ones so that they can gain experience and knowledge first when it comes to driving an RV and solving issues that may arise during the road trip.
