Pricey Wheels: 8 of the Most Expensive Cars You Can Buy

Maybe your long lost uncle just died and left you a giant inheritance? Perhaps you invested in a lucky stock? Whatever the case may be, you just came into a large sum of cash.

Now, because you’re a car enthusiast, you’re looking to buy one of the most expensive cars on the market. The only problem is, you’re not sure of which to buy.

Fortunately, you’ve come to the right place. Without further ado, here are 8 of the world’s most expensive cars.

1. Bugatti Cheron Sport

Sitting atop our list is the Bugatti Cheron Sport, a 3 million dollar car sporting all the bells and whistles you could ever dream of. Equipped with quad-turbocharged W-16 engine, it’s capable of topping 300 miles per hour.

And then there’s its awesome aesthetic. Though it’s a sports car through and through, it contains an almost futuristic exterior. In terms of appearance, there’s no other car quite like it.

This is one of those cars you have to drive to believe. At the present time, no other automobile comes close.

2. Lamborghini Aventador

Second on our list is the Lamborghini Aventador, an expensive car that combines ridiculous speed and top-of-the-line luxury. It begins at around $526,000.

This car is stocked with a 6.5-L V12 engine, producing up to 729 horsepower. As such, it can get moving in a hurry. Offering a unique and attractive aesthetic, it’s bound to turn heads everywhere it goes.

Though it gets far-below-average fuel efficiency (10 miles to the gallon in the city), it doesn’t much matter to anyone who can afford it. That said, if you’re interested in a Lamborghini rental, this car is available to you.

3. Rolls-Royce Cullinan

Next up on our list is the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a full-size SUV with terrific power and handleability. Starting at $327,750, it’s anything but cheap.

This SUV sports an attractive and luxurious aesthetic, borrowing many of the elements that you’ll find in Rolls-Royce sedans. From an aesthetic standpoint, there’s no other SUV quite like it.

Stocked with a V12 6.8-liter engine, it’s as powerful as they come. Note, however, that it lacks fuel efficiency, getting just 12 miles to the gallon in the city and 20 to the gallon on the highway.

4. Bentley Mulsanne

Up next is the Bentley Mulsanne, a luxury car possessing a classic beauty. Starting at around $367,000, you’ll need to reach deep to buy it.

While it doesn’t quite provide the power of other high-end vehicles (it’s stocked with a 6.8-L V8 engine and produces up to 537 horsepower), it outpaces them in terms of aesthetic. Characterized by a leather and wood interior, it’s the exact opposite of cheap.

Plus, it’s big, providing ample legroom for all passengers. As such, it can get you to where you need to go in absolute comfort.

5. Ferrari 812 Superfast

Aptly named, the Ferrari 812 Superfast is, indeed, super fast. Capable of going from 0 to 60 in just 2.8 seconds, it has a top speed of 211 miles per hour. Note, however, that it doesn’t come cheap; It starts at around $366,000.

The engine in the 812 Superfast is a 6.5-L V12. Capable of reaching 788 horsepower, it provides a torque of up to 529 lb-ft. Simply put, this thing is ridiculously powerful.

Aesthetically speaking, this car is stealth and sporty. Possessing both smooth and angular elements, it evokes an almost majestic toughness. If your goal is to go ridiculously fast and look good doing it, the Superfast is the car for you.

6. Rolls-Royce Ghost

Another Rolls-Roye vehicle that you might consider is the Ghost. Available for around $350,000, this vehicle combines a classic aesthetic with modern power.

The Ghost sports a 6.6-liter 12-V engine and is capable of producing up to 563 horsepower. For a laid-back luxury car, this is an absurd amount of force.

It’s not the most fuel-efficient car, getting just 18 miles to the gallon on the highway and 12 miles to the gallon in the city. Of course, if you’re paying $350,000 for a car, you’re not going to care too much about the cost of the gas you’re putting into it.

7. Rolls-Royce Dawn

The Rolls-Royce Dawn is a lot like the Rolls-Royce Ghost. The big difference, however, is that the Dawn is a drop-top. As such, it’s ideal for cruising on those hot summer days.

Its other specs are almost identical to those found in the Ghost. It has a 6.6-liter V-12 engine, it provides up to 563 horsepower, it gets 18 miles to the gallon on the highway and 12 in the city, and it’s available for around $350,000.

Note, however, that its style is a little different. When compared, the Dawn has more of a classic car feel, similar to the 1950 Chevy Bel Air and other cars of its kind.

If you’re looking for a summer cruiser, you needn’t look any further. This car is at the top of the food chain.

8. Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante

Up next is the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante, a droptop sports car with ridiculous amounts of power. Starting at around $335,000, it’s one of the most expensive cars on the market.

It’s stocked with a 5.2-liter V-12 engine, offering up to 715 horsepower. As such, it can get going in a hurry.

And then there’s the aesthetic. Simply put, this is a gorgeous vehicle. Possessing some muscle car elements, it’s equal parts strong and smooth.
